MCHP Architects have been working with Kennard’s Self Storage on the new breed of multi-storey self-storage developments. Recently completed is KSS Chullora (4 storeys), KSS Macquarie Park Stage 2 (5 storeys) and KSS Castle Hill (5 storeys) under construction. Total Construction are the builders on these 3 multi-level buildings.
KSS CHULLORA – OPENED 2018
This recently opened centre has a 4 storeys, 2 storey and 1 storey building. The site is constrained by 11 easements, a Sydney Water channel running through it, now constructed as a drainage culvert, State Rail power lines, Energy Australia power lines and even the boundary of two councils running through the middle of the multi-storey building. This was a very challenging project for architect and builder.
KSS MACQUARIE PARK – STAGE TWO – OPENED 2016
This building is located behind the Stage One KSS building (which incorporated the KSS Team Headquarters and Self-Storage with the adaptive re-use of the original building on the site). Stage 2 is a newly constructed, purpose built 5 storey building.
KSS CASTLE HILL – UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This proposal is for a 5 storey and 3 storey building to the Windsor Road frontage of the existing KSS site. The existing old front building and office are proposed to be demolished. The new buildings shall create a striking presentation to Windsor Road and the surrounding area.
